ZFFTA is dedicated to nurturing a community that supports, promotes, safeguards, and enhances the creative potential of our society. We achieve this by offering diverse opportunities for artistic engagement to all Afghans, regardless of their location around the globe.
Artlords
Our exceptionally gifted team of Afghan artists, led by Omaid Sharifi (ZFFTA's Officer) and founder of Artlords, will be regularly showcased on our website as they persist in crafting art while in exile. Our mission extends to seeking collaborations with partners to further amplify their art by presenting it in a museum or art center located in Washington, D.C. Additionally, we aim to breathe life into the compelling interviews from the documentary by transforming them into captivating animations.
ANIM + Female Orchestra
The all-female orchestra, as well as the founder of ANIM, Dr. Sarmast (ZFFTA's Officer), who recently sought refuge due to life-threatening circumstances in Afghanistan, will compose the musical score for the documentary film created within this program. Furthermore, we are committed to forging partnerships with these courageous women, including Negine Khpalwak (ZFFTA's Officer), and showcasing them on our website as outstanding Afghan artists.
Zahir Film
ZAHIR delves into the narrative of Afghanistan during its most promising era, with a focus on the central figure of its cultural legacy, as seen through the eyes of our founder, Shabnam. She embarks on a journey to uncover more about her father's contributions to the arts and their connection to Afghanistan's rich culture and heritage. ZAHIR transports viewers vividly back to the Afghanistan of the 1960s and 1970s, a period when violence wasn't an everyday occurrence, when Kabul was celebrated as the "Paris of Central Asia," and young people enjoyed unprecedented freedoms. ZFFTA is partnering with ZAHIR FILM LLC to produce and globally distribute this documentary.
